Gemstones carry the divine power to bring desired benefits to their wearer. However, for a gemstone to deliver its full potential, it must be purified, energized, and activated before wearing, following the correct Vedic procedure.
Wearing the gemstone on the appropriate day and auspicious time (Shubh Mahurat) further enhances its positive vibrations and effectiveness.
Wearing on the Correct Day & Auspicious Time
Each planetary gemstone is associated with a specific day of the week. Wearing the gemstone on its designated day and during a favorable Mahurat (as per Vedic Panchang) enhances its cosmic effects.

Procedure to Purify, Energize & Activate Your Gemstone
1. Choose a Sacred Space
Select a pure and spiritually uplifting place, such as your home temple (Mandir), for performing the ritual.
2. Prepare the Energizing Bowl
At the chosen auspicious Mahurat, take a small bowl (Katori) and add the following:
- Unboiled Cow’s Milk
- 2–3 teaspoons of Ganga Jal
- 1 teaspoon of Honey (Shahed)
- 1 teaspoon of Ghee
- 1 teaspoon of Curd
- 1 teaspoon of Sugar
3. Energize the Gemstone
- Dip your ring or pendant containing the gemstone in the prepared bowl for 5–10 minutes.
- Gently remove it and place it on a clean, washed plate.
4. Perform the Ritual with Light & Incense
- Light a Diya (lamp) and Agarbatti (incense stick).
- Rotate both clockwise around the gemstone 5–7 times to purify its aura.
5. Chant the Mantra
Recite the Beej Mantra of the ruling planet 108 times to invoke divine energy and blessings.
6. Seek Divine Blessings
Meditate upon your Ishta Dev (chosen deity) and pray for prosperity, protection, and positive energy.
